Beauty & Skincare products which did not work for me

Hello beautiful friends!

I hope things are going well for you and you are enjoying summertime. I want to start by saying that I cannot believe it’s already August and how fast this year is going by.

Secondly, in today’s post, we will discuss the products that I won’t repurchase, and that did not work for me. Sometimes it does happen! One thing is for sure: a product that works for a particular person won’t work for another, and it is fine. Without further ado, let me introduce you to the products that disappointed me! 😊

Schwarzkopf got2b Guardian Angel 220°C Heat Protection

I have announced this purchase on my Instagram stories because it seemed like a good option to me for the price point… but it ended up being a total failure. On one hand, it offered a weird scent to the hair and it left a sticky residue, which was unpleasant.

I do not feel like it did help in any sort of way. Instead, it did dry my hair and it made it difficult to even use the comb because it tangled it. This product almost felt like using hairspray. Other than that, the bottle is generous in terms of quantity, and it has nice packaging.

Unfortunately, I won’t be buying this one ever again. But you can find Gliss leave-in conditioner, which does a much better job for your hair.

Kiehl's calendula deep cleansing foaming face wash

Kiehls has so many nice skincare products! You already know by now that their ultimate facial cream with SPF30 is my favorite of all times! Unfortunately, this cleanser was not doing great things for my skin type. It clogged my pores, I had breakouts all over the face and it dried out my skin, even if I used serums/face creams.

It did smell nice and the gel formula is a bit tacky, but in contact with water, it transforms into a foam. It’s Paraben-free, silicone-free, sulfate-free, and alcohol-free. It would work wonders for someone who was a mixed skin type going on the oily side. Otherwise, if you have dry skin, it will dry it out even more.

And for this very reason, I won’t be purchasing it again.

Vita Liberata Tan Lotion

This one product I had high hopes for, but it was a major disappointment. Keep in mind my skin is really pale, so I had expectations after watching a lot of tutorials on how to use this one. I tried my best since I had no previous experience. I followed the instructions, but the tan did not last and it did transfer to my clothes and on my bed sheets. I have also tried to apply it in different ways, but it still looked weird, even after hours. If you used this one, please let me know how you used it and whether you enjoyed it.

Fragonard body lotion

The body lotion smells amazing and is something that I was looking forward to. Fragonard products are not available in Romania, but they can be ordered and shipped from France.

The consistency of the product it’s something I did not enjoy at all… It did leave my skin sticky after applying it, and it did not moisturize it. But, it smells amazing and it does leave a fabulous scent. Overall, I liked the packaging, but the fact that its consistency was a bit off and it is out of reach to purchase again, it’s a hard pass for me.

If you used any of these products and they worked for you, please do let me know in the comment section below. Also, if you have any others you would recommend and think would work better than these, tell me about them. 😋

See you soon! ❤
