Before we start, I would like to add that I have been a fan of matte and satin lipsticks, and this purchase for me was a win. Allow me to get to the details why:
Package
Givenchy paid attention to details starting with the packaging. The sleek packaging is always a plus and the addition of the ribbon to the lipstick makes it easy to pull it and gives it a unique finish. Even though it is made of plastic, the packaging still offers a luxurious look and feel. Also, on the front side of the lipstick, the brand’s name is displayed. It’s always easy to have it in your purse and apply it.
Shade Range
Givenchy Rouge Interdit comes in 25 shades, which offers us a great range to pick from. My shade is 12 Rouge Insomnie for being my kind of cherry, bright red. Also, the other colours available have an amazing finish, as I just got the chance to swatch them.
Formula
The formula surprised me in the best way and I must admit I can’t get enough of it! The consistency is creamy, silky and hydrating at the same time. After wearing it, the my lips were not dry at all. The colour is pigmented and vibrant. I usually have just to touch a bit my lips so as not have it look so vibrant. It leaves a beautiful and subtle shine that catches the light and draws attention to your lips. I don’t have enough words to describe it.
In terms of wearing, the formula is long-lasting. I wore it for 8 hours while visiting Paris and it stayed put. Also, after removal, it left a subtle stain behind.
I have been using this lipstick for quite some time now and I always keep it in my purse, within easy reach!
