Fenty Beauty Review
I have been searching for quite some time for a new foundation and Rihanna made sure I would find it. Fenty Beauty was released in Romania in September this year. After all the hype around the foundation, I knew I had to go and purchase it. I know it comes with a delay, but as you know almost every product is released later in Europe.
I have a very pale skin tone and it makes it a little bit difficult for me to find the right shade, but Rihanna took care of this issue.
The Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation was released in 40 shades, which was very thoughtful for the brand. I must admit that the shade 120 was a perfect match to my skin, which I repeat: it rarely happens. 🙂
In what concerns the formula, it is a medium coverage foundation and I love that it looks so natural on the skin that one cannot even tell that you are wearing foundation. It evens out the skin and it has a matte finish. As I mentioned before, it has a medium coverage, but it can be build to your preference. I want to say that at first it did not impress me much, because it did not cover my spots, but then I really started to like it because of the natural look. It smells really nice too.
Something that I noticed is that if you have dry skin or dry portions of skin, the foundation will grab onto them and it will make them more evident. For this reason, the formula would work better for a person who has oily skin. Also Rihanna’s MUA had said they developed the formula bearing in mind that type of skin. For me, by the end of the day it started to look a little bit off and dry, patchy on the forehead and cheeks area. Other than this, it is a beautiful foundation for important events you have to attend.
I have never been a hardcore fan of glosses, but somehow this gloss changed my mind. Firstly, it smells amazing (a vanilla scent, but if you don’t like a very intense smell then it will bother you) and secondly, it makes your lips look so good. The shade I have is Fenty Glow- a rosy nude shade. Fenty Beauty declared this to be a “one shade to rule them all”. I loved the packaging and the detail brand logo from the lid+ you are getting 9 ml of product.
You can wear it alone or you can simply layer it over your lipstick, just to give it an extra touch. This colour looks good on every skin tone and it has the perfect amount of shimmer. I liked the fact that it doesn’t look sheer. It is a bit tacky like any other gloss, but it does not feel sticky. I loved so much the fact that it is hydrating. The doe-foot applicator makes it extremely easy and fast to apply and gives the impression of fuller lips. In terms of resistance, it won’t last long if you eat or drink.
Overall, a great lip gloss which you will need in your collection. It is an A plus product, the perfect nude shade which works great on my pale skin.
Of course that I am planning on purchasing more Fenty Beauty products, but at first I wanted to start with just a few products to see what they are like. Have you tried any of Rihanna’s products and if yes what are your thoughts about them?
