Hello there! I hope your day has been going great so far! Today we are covering together a very important topic. As you may already know, Christmas is not only about receiving, but also about giving. This time of the year has definitely something magical about it and we are kinder, we smile a little more and we help more. Now it would be the perfect opportunity to feel this holiday season at its best. After doing a little bit of research, I will share with you some causes you can help this Christmas (locally or international):
Unicef
You might have seen various campaigns from Unicef and the children living in vulnerable environments and disadvantaged countries. They have international campaigns and you can donate a monthly subscription or you can donate just once. With such a donation you help children to ease access to education and overall a better life!
“Coloreaza viata” association
They have a very nice project in collaboration with those who want to be Santa Claus for children coming from disadvantaged environments. The system goes as following: You pick a letter from a child, you prepare the gifts and then you send it to their address and the association will make sure to deliver it to the centers. You can find more information about this project here. You can also donate a sum of money if you don’t have the time to get the gifts.
Little people association
Little people is a non profit organization that desires to offer child and teenage cancer patients the support each one of them needs. It’s based in Cluj-Napoca, but the mission of the organisation is to improve the quality of life for children and young people with cancer, by offering psychosocial support both during the hospitalisation period and after, thus increasing the survival rate of this particular age group. I must admit that I follow their activity and all I can say it’s that incredible things can happen when we are cooperating and we are being empathic. 🥰
Other NGOs you can follow and support would be Hope & Homes for Children, “Clujul are Suflet” association, “Salvati Copii” organization, “Totul va fi bine” association. Needless to say there are many associations and NGOs that need our help and I fully encourage you to choose one that you would like to support and just do it!
