About me

About me

Do you remember who you were before they told you who to be?- Charles Bukowski

Hi and welcome to my blog! 🙂

There is no coincidence that I decided to build my first post around the question from the title, mostly because we are influenced by so many outside voices, which at times makes it even more complicated to know who we really are. Also, I thought it would be more than appropriate to introduce myself based on it, since I like this statement.

“Who am I?”

Well… my name is Madalina, but my friends call me Mada/Mady or simply M. I am a dreamer, who loves music and art. During the past few years, I have also become extremely passionate about photography, make-up and fashion. In fact, I have been so passionate about them, that many of my friends encouraged me to do something about it, since I have been sharing with them lots of tips and tricks  (so here we are and I will be sharing them with you too).

If I were to attempt to describe myself shortly, I could say that: I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy long walks, jogging, reading, writing and rainy days.

“I am a paradox: I am stubborn, yet I am nice. I can be extremely sociable at times, while very detached at others. I am sensitive, yet tough. I am selfish, yet I am giving. I am childish, yet I am mature (too much at times). I either sleep too much, or have insomniac nights. I either let it go, or overthink it. I feel too much, or nothing at all… I must admit, I never knew what grey is…”

But no one is perfect, we live and we learn! 🙂

Be your own kind of beautiful!’

This idea came from the fact that we often tend to compare ourselves with the rest, and nearly every single time we do this, we end up being disappointed by what we have accomplished so far or by who we are.

Since each one of us has its own beauty, I thought it would be a great way to express it throughout my posts. This is one of the main reasons why my blog is based around it, as well as to remind you of your uniqueness.

As of now, I don’t know where we will go, but join this journey with me and let’s  find out! Let’s discover together who we were before they told us who to be…
