Tame Frizz and Boost Shine: My Review of Moroccanoil Treatment

Hello there!

As autumn greeted us, it’s time to give our hair some extra attention. While we should be caring for our hair year-round, I couldn’t resist sharing this review with you.

For years, Moroccanoil Treatment has been a cult-favorite hair product, praised for its ability to tame frizz, boost shine, and transform dry, damaged strands. Ever wondered whether it’s worth the hype? If yes, in today’s post we will cover all the details.
With the current hair oils that we have on the market, is this one still a go-to product? Well.. the claim for this product would be:

Packaging

The oil comes in a glass bottle. Unfortunately it doesn’t have a pump dispenser and you must be very careful with the amount of product you will be using on your hair. I really appreciate the choice of glass, as it is more elegant and has durability. It contributes to the premium feel of the product and it’s part of the overall brand experience. I also appreciate the embossed details on the bottle add a touch of refinement. The screw-on cap provides a secure seal, protecting the product from oxidation and ensuring its longevity.

How to use Morrocan Oil

Moroccan oil can be used in various ways, namely:
1. You can use it before shampoo, and all you have to do is to apply a small amount to your hair before washing.

2. You can add a few drops when styling your hair to enhance shine. This worked wonders for me.

3. You can use it as a leave-in after you wash your hair on damp hair.

Formula

The Star Ingredient of Morrocan Oil is argan oil. Argan oil deeply moisturizes hair, preventing dryness and breakage. It helps repair damaged hair cuticles, reducing frizz and split ends. It doesn’t contain alcohol, but it does have perfume, so you might want to pay attention to that.
Moroccan Oil Treatment also contains other beneficial ingredients such as:
– Linseed Oil which is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, linseed oil nourishes the hair and scalp.
– Cyclomethicone: A silicone that adds shine and smoothness to hair.
– Dimethicone: This silicone-based ingredient forms a protective barrier on the hair, helping to seal in moisture and prevent damage.

Now you have all the details behind this popular product, so you can make an informed decision about whether it’s the right choice for your hair care routine. I can confirm that when using it, I had a healthy-looking shine on my hair. In terms of hydration I cannot say I had a strong hydration , but it might have been just my case on this one, as I have low porosity hair.  Let me know if you have tried this product and how it did perform. Also, don’t forget to follow me on instagram where I post more about the products I have tried.
