3 apps for Instagram you must try

Hello my beautiful friends!

In this weeks’ article, as the title says we will discuss a little bit about Instagram. As you know, in the last years Instagram grew so much as a platform and it’s actually playing such an important role in creating and promoting a business or even a brand. It has also become a trend setter and created an aesthetics which is rather difficult for some to achieve. Not everything might be so negative about Instagram, since it can be a major source of inspiration too. Well… it can also be viewed as a source of unhappiness depending on how you look at it. You might have noticed how some of the most popular accounts of instagram have a “theme” and beautiful looking stories. I have been searching for quite some time for some good editing apps and the best 3 I have found are:

1. VSCO

This is one of the most popular apps for editing photos and many people use and recommend it. I love it too! It is so user friendly and it is extremely easy to edit both photos and videos. It has various filters you can choose from depending on how you want your final photo to look. The idea is that it makes it so easy and fast to edit, plus it offers the opportunity to upload your photos and get an idea about how they would look on your feed before actually posting them. There is also a shop, and you can purchase some new features, but from experience, I am telling you, the ones which are free, work well too and you will have professional looking photos. Vibrant colours, black and white, or well contrasted photos, this app can do it all and I love it! At the same time you can find lots of inspiration there, because people upload their work and is just so interesting (at least for me) to see how others use the app and the photos they take.

2. Lightroom mobile

For quite some time I have been editing my photos with Lightroom and for the times when I did not have my laptop with me, the Lightroom app on my phone saved the situation. Of course, that it might be a little limited, but it makes it so so easy to edit your photos when you are on the go. It took me a little bit to figure it out but now I love it. When I don’t use VSCO, it means I am using Lightroom. You can sync it directly from your laptop and you will have your fav presets always there on hand, ready to use them. Speaking about presets, this is what makes Lightroom one of the top editing apps (at least for me). Also, this is what most of the popular accounts are using to get their “instagram theme” and some even sell the presets they have created. At first, I found Lightroom so difficult and I had no idea what I was supposed to do in order to achieve the photos I wanted. I had to find tutorials, but once I got the hang of it, it all started to make sense. Now, I use both Lighroom and VSCO to edit.

3. Unfold

Last, but not least, I want to talk about a feature of instagram which I absolutely love: instagram stories. Since I started to post my first stories and by looking at other’ stories, I found it so entertaining. Also, you can create so much engagement through your instagram stories, and all of this while not “ruining” your instagram feed, because unlike the photos in your feed, the stories are available 24 hours from the moment you post them. As time went by, I noticed some accounts I was following started to get more professional and aesthetic insta stories and I swear I had done so much research to discover which app could help me get those beautiful stories. And of course that my continuous searching paid off, because I discovered UNFOLD, which I love so so much. Many of my instagram followers and friends asked me what I am using and this is the one. I cannot say enough good things about it, it has minimal and elegant templates and it just helps me create engaging stories. It has different fonts and a high quality export for both photos and videos. It is a must have! 🙂

Before going, I must tell you that I had a hard time picking just 3 apps. There are so many more apps I have discovered and I absolutely love, so if you like this article, let me know. I hope you found something new from this and make sure to let me know your favourite editing app for instagram.

See you soon! 🙂
